Flyfishing Instruction
Introduction to Flyfishing
This
class is held over the course of two evenings. Night one is held at
Twin Lakes and covers all the basics of casting. We start from ground
zero and emphasize building good casting fundamentals. Night two is
at the shop and covers flyfishing theory, strategy, knots, Alaskan flies,
and even a few local hot spots! All gear is provided. Cost - $60
Fly Casting with George Cook
This one night class has consistently been one of our most popular
classes. It is taught by George Cook, the Northwest representative for
Sage Fly Rods. The class is geared toward what each individual wants
to work on. This may include learning to double haul, shooting line,
or gaining more distance with less false casts. George even gave us
two tricks that immediately added 10% to everyones cast! Want
to know what they are? Plan on attending this year. Lots of fun gear
to demo, too! Check with us for exact time and date. Cost - $30
Women's Flyfishing Class
Back by popular demand! Well known Alaskan flyfisher, author, and owner
of Women's Flyfishing, Cecilia "Pudge" Kleinkauf, will present
this three evening class. Topics covered will include: selecting equipment,

for questions and individual instruction. The last night will be on
a local stream, and will cover casting and fishing techniques. Don't
miss this great opportunity to learn more about the sport of flyfishing
and meet other local women flyfishers. All abilities welcome, and all
